located in a mountain valley nearly 1500 feet above sea level, which means we catch any pleasant cooling breezes in high summer. A few miles to our rear is Babadag, one of the tallest mountains in the area at 6000 feet and a magnificent sight, especially at sunset when the peak often turns pink or orange.
Surrounded mostly by family-run Turkish farms, the immediate area around the hotel is either forest plantation or a patchwork of small fields where crops are grown and stock graze. In May, these fields are a mass of beautiful wild flowers where much wildlife flourishes, including many birds.
Yakamoz is on the very outskirts of the main tourist area and benefits from a minimum of noise. The small road leading to the hotel passes through scented pine forests before opening out into a panoramic view of the valley. Because we are a little off the beaten track, the hotel is regarded by our guests as a green oasis of calm and tranquility. However, a 10 minute stroll takes you up to the main Fethiye-Oludeniz road where regular Dolmus services allow easy access to the areas many attractions. For your convenience, we also provide lifts up to the main road after breakfast and in the early evening.
The hotel has just 29 comfortably furnished double and twin bedded rooms all with their own en-suite and balcony.
Yakamoz also has 2 pretty cottages within the hotel grounds.
All rooms are fitted with Air Conditioning.
- Rooms are cleaned daily. Bed linen and towels are changed twice a week.
- Beach towel hire available.
- Iron and ironing board for use by guests. Hair dryers available in every room.
- Locally renowned atmospheric restaurant serving traditional Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine.
The hotel is set in its own lush gardens with roses, flower borders and many mature trees to offer cooling shade (you might see tortoises wandering through the borders in high summer).
We also have a large shady orchard with a traditional Turkish kosk, or raised seating platform, hammocks and a soothing water feature with pond.
Our swimming pool has stunning mountain views and is serviced by a pool side bar. There are ample sunbeds and umbrellas.
We are justifiably proud of our air conditioned restaurant, which has an excellent reputation. Our dishes are essentially Turkish mixed with some international cuisine and we are also very happy to cater for vegetarians. The restaurant is very traditional in appearance and has a huge fireplace at the far end where logs are burnt during the cooler evenings in May and October.
Our bar is stocked with local and imported drinks and a range of Turkish wines. When the weather is suitable in the hotter months, breakfast and dinner are served outdoors on a vine-covered terrace.
Experience has shown us that tranquility and children can sometimes be mutually exclusive so Yakamoz is exclusively an ‘adults only’ hotel providing a guaranteed child- environment throughout the season (with the exception of school holidays, 24th May – 1st June, 15th July – 31st August & 20th – 28th October **)
Bookings for hotel accommodation will only be accepted from guests aged 18 and over.
